    Nick: I don't think it has anything to with "balls". It's those high salaries and guys with NMCs. Yep, firing Mike Kitchen is really going to help.

    Going for something like that would require moving Seabrook to create actual cap space. Plus your centers are pretty weak under this roster you'd still have Anisimov as a second line center. Even if you moved Kero whose more of a natural center at point in between Kane and Panarin, the Hawks would still have Anisimov at center. If you're going to have a big body like him on wing as a power forward, I would imagine that they would have him with Toews and Hossa as they do better with power forwards as a line.

    This is probably close to what will happen this off-season. Small moves, reshuffle a few lines. I like that you have them staying away from older players with legs that are giving out like Sharp & Oduya.
    Bowman is actually one of the ballsier GM's. He's actually made trades. The Blackhawks are simply at a stage that their good/great players got expensive, and then the cap has been relatively flat.
