Description

It's 4AM for me and I whipped this together on my phone while at work. It's not that deeply thought out lol. LMK where you think I'm at value wise or trade sense wise, as well as how you think I did in terms of contracts.

No idea what Bear's value is like, just figured a mid tier prospect like Legare would make sense VALUE wise. No idea if CAR would want him since they're competing right now.

Miller value seems really fair to me. Based on most peoples Mock trades for him and Marino that seems around market price.

The one I was unsure about was Erne for Pettersson. I know DET has shown interest in Pettersson. Lots of people are mocking him for a 3rd + 5th roughly. I think that's fair, but why would the pens wanna do that? Pettersson isn't bad enough where you just give him away for futures to clear cap. The pens have no problem just keeping him at his current price tag. Sure the cap relief is NICE but its not essential with him. Erne makes sense. He's a stronger bigger guy, the type Hextall wants. Question is where is he at value wise in terms of a trade. I honestly have NO clue. I could be way off on this one...

As far as trade value wise, it seems the common theme is Marino, Kapanen and a 1st round pick just for Miller. So to get VAN to retain money on top of that you would have to offer even more.

As far as contracts go I think they look good. Malkin might be a slight underpayment but you've got the cap space plus you can dump Domingue

I dont know anything about Erne to be honest. I see some Detroit fans saying he's legit. Others saying he's well, what you said.

I could see Pens adding yes, I personally think Miller is worth more, however I saw some reports the day before making this that the market on Miller is softening. I could easily see adding another pick and Kap in there though.
