Klingberg is more one dimensional than Petry. Habs fans arent forgetting about Petry's age but the fact a lot of other fan bases don't know the players current trajectory. Look at his best seasons, all in his 30s.
They are countless examples of players being elite in their late 30s, you can start on the same team, Shea Weber then go to Zdeno Chara, hell, Kris Letang just had career high across the board at 35 years of age.
We are dealing with the information we have at hand. Petry had a terrible early season where the whole team struggled. Then finished strong with a 56 point pace in his last 30 games, same production the last 5 years. Nothing says he's declining except conjecture.
