Copp trade is to anywhere frankly. Same price Philly paid for Kevin Hayes.
Dadonov + 2nd = John Moore < Nemeth.
Blais + 4th smooth over the differences between Roy vs. a 2nd.
Reilly = 3rd = Goodrow. Rangers taking on more salary. Boston taking on more term, mutually beneficial.
Carolina severely lacks LHD in the pool, Lindgren has youth and low cost relative to value. They also have a ton of close to if not NHL ready C's in Suzuki, Rees and Ponomaryov. It's need for need.
Dallas needs RHD pretty badly, Rangers need a bit more size and puck handling from their LHD. Schneider put up better production with Nemeth/Braun than Harley did with Klingberg while being younger. Hence the 2nd.
Comps for Trouba trade are Risto (#14oa + 2nd + Hagg) and himself (20oa + Neal Pionk). This falls right in that zone. Still surprised how underrated he is on here. 12th among Dmen this season in 5v5 points on a team that did not score a lot at 5v5.
Obviously an excessive amount of trades. But Drury's blunders leave a lot of stuff to clean up in terms of cap/roster management.
Considering the guys we’ve found in the second round lately I’ll keep Harley and the second if that’s the price tag. Klinger also isn’t what he used to be
Sure. Again beyond the player comparison. The point is handedness. Right hand D. is a lot more significant need than left for Dallas.

I’m all for the swap just not the up charge. I think Harley has more offensive up side. I’m not saying anything you’ve said is wrong. Trading Harley and Stankoven, Hintz, Robertson, so on is just a bad call. Not saying there’s any guarantee Nill hits another second round home run, just saying in general. Also no guarantee that Stankoven is an NHLer yet but again just sayin
