So basically just giving AZ all their draft picks for a few seasons. Chyrchrun is nice but they aren’t emptying the cupboards for him, but I would rather keep all the assets and re-sign Manson. Trochek contract is ridiculous, He has 1 55+ pt season in his career. I wouldn’t do that Girard trade if I were COL not even close.

I kind of agree about Chyrchrun but I feel it would be worth it to bring another elite defensemen to the Avs, which if he was on there roster he would be elite. Trocheck could definitely be an overpay down the road but with that top 6 he would be a consistent 60+ point player I feel like it’s not horrible to give him 7 mil for now, this roster has some S tier contracts that make up for it.

I'll say pass from EDM. Girard isn't the right Dman to move that kind of package for and they also can't afford to add 5mil in cap hit.

I beg to differ in regards to the kind of Dman EDM needs. I would argue he is exactly what EDM needs, a puck moving transition dman, that is actually rather good in his own end, is pretty good on retrievals, and can play both sides.

Byram is going to be better than Chychrun, you at least have hopes of re-signing Toews currently, you add Chychrun and Toews is assuredly gone and you have no way of even getting a replacement drafted. Would a top 4 of Makar Toews Byram and Chychrun be ridiculous absolutely, but is it worth the price knowing Chychrun’s a second pairing guy on your team. I don’t think so. But it is a nice d-corp.
