From a Ducks' angle, I might try to throw a 4th/5th Vegas' way, and keep Holl. The Ducks could use a RHD.

sandin is our second best LD, id rather have him over muzz and gio. trading away a young piece like that makes no sense because we have barley anything on defence, if we are to move a guy its going to be muzzin or holl.

Except Sandin won’t be apart of the team in a few years. They just blocked his ice time with the Gio signing. And to move Muzzin it’s gonna take a Sandin, Liljegren or something of that sort. He’s got another year at that cap hit.

Yes there may be better options in free agency but none of those will be short term low cap hits like Dadonov. And once again you’re not gonna find an NHL goalie in free agency making 950k.

Basically you think the leafs have unlimited cap space and will just sign everyone it seems. That won’t happen.

The value is good from the ducks side, but at least from my POV it doesn’t fill team needs as well as I’d like. Any Dman is helpful right now, but the team is really undersized, especially on the back end. Sandin is another ‘undersized’ Dman, and Jones is one of the few big bodies on the team.

Fits the ducks needs just find. Sure Sandin isn’t 6 foot and he’s left handed but he’s still a quality enough addition you just figure it out. Roy is actually a need, right handed forward.
