Edmonton was also interested in Allen in the deadline, as he was almost included in the Kulak deal, so they’re probably still interested in him too. Kassian would be flipped to another team to make the cap work.

I have no idea what he’s worth and where he’d go, but Kent Hughes says he wants to changes the identity of the team and Gallagher visibly doesn’t fit the mild of the team that Martin St. Louis is trying to build. There would definitely be some interest for him around the league. Therefore, him and Romanov would fetch a nice return. I don’t think MTL would need a pick back, but they’d be instead looking for a REALLY good, young offensive RHD.

Not a big fan of "dumping" Gallagher with Hoffman and Armia still on the team. I'd keep him as long has the team can afford it, and when the time comes it will be cheaper.

Also, don't think Schueneman has done anything to deserve that kind of deal.

Schueneman hasn’t deserved that deal yet, it’s just a gamble because i think he’ll be a very solid player for us. My logic is that he’d be the 7th guy for half of the season and, once Edmundson is traded at the deadline, he’d eat up minutes. I believe he can be effective for us.

Also I’m not dumping Gallagher, i’d be trading him in a package for a good young RHD for the future as I don’t think he fits the mood of the team and his contract will hurt us down the line. Adddtionally, he would have much more value than Hoffman/Armia and he doesn’t fit in the future plans either imo
