Description
I decided to have some fun and make a mostly unrealistic team. Though I do think the leafs have a decent chance of bringing back one of them. The one I’d be most interested in is Bozak actually. He’d only cost league min likely and he’d be a good 4th line centre. I’m surprised I haven’t seen too many Bozak to the leafs teams because I think he’d be a good fit.

God dammit now were just doing what past versions have done

As from what I have seen in the past it does not work

Now I could see Marchment come back and maybe Reimer but thats about it.

I thought a 3rd would be ideal but Toronto doesn't have a 3rd in 2023 (well, funny enough Arizona could have it in a different way), or a 2024 3rd (Gio) and 2025 seemed too far off (and I don't like the idea of trading 2022 picks as we are already low on them). If Arizona prefers a 2025 3rd they can have it. A second and Holl is too much I think though.

LOL yes this was more of a joke than it was serious but I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of them come back.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of Bozak. I think he'd be a good fit on the 4th line.

It would cost a 1st or 2 2nd round picks to move that contract, Plus with his health concerns and inconsistency. His value is pretty low even close to negative factor.

Oh I meant the 4th in the ARI trade (it probably needs to be a 3rd to dump Mrazek) but that could work too.

OTT doesnt come near this.

Nylander is 2 years from UFA, and OTT doesnt want to negotiate with that boy. Id rather take the years of cost control for 7OA and the value from CBrown at the deadline

I think Ottawa could use a point producer like Nylander, but the whole point of that trade was to get Brown (a former leafs, hence the title) while staying under the cap, so if you don't like it I understand.

I get what youre doing.

If you shift Nylander to a different team for pick/prospect value, you could have Brown with retention for a 1st
