Miller isn't worth close to a 1st over Nylander. If anything, the extra years term on Nylander would be the part which sways value in the trade.

i know leafs fans clown him but holl actually does have positive value and if there is a cost to get rid of him they would just keep him


that middle trade has me interested to a degree but i dont enjoy the idea of gambling on miller coming here after giving up that much
i know what william nylander does every night
i have no idea what JT Miller will do for the leafs every night
hes played great for the canucks but ive watched many players play great for other teams and then come to the leafs and just suck ass
or get hurt and trading willy and a first for 1 year of jt miller is a bit... i dont even know how to word it right.
if the first round pick could be moved to next year and be top 10 protected i would be much more okay with it

but i would like at least some kind of return because despite how rough a season he had
mrazek is still an nhl caliber goalie that some teams will want like arizona or even the habs if they are looking to draft 1st overall again

I think the value for miller and nylander is almost the same
If you retain salary which is might worth like a second + luke who would be worth a 4th or 3rd = 1st
maybe a little bit of a overpay but leafs get save big in cap and can sign kadri
the first does not matter what year it is

It makes no sense to trade nylander and a first for a player that’s not much better than nylander and a number 7 D man
