Mrazek - should take a second + Abruzzese to get rid of him to a team with zero goalies. Leafs will probably use the second they acquire from Kerfoot.
Campbell - resign him for 4.25m x 6. They should consider 4.5m if necessary. They should limit his games played in the season from 40-50 (I don't think he can candle a heavy load of 60)
Lankinen - like many backup goalies, he does well one year, and bad the following year. This year he's due for an upswing. Pay him 1m and play him about 20 games.
Erik Sallgren - Instead of the traditional third goalie, play Sallgren as a backup as well (he's on a two-way). They should play him 10-15 games (depending on how good he really is)
Thank you for not asking for Matthews and ten first round picks to take Mrazeks contract
I think this trade is pretty well thought out from our side too. Abruzzese might have made an impact with the locals during his time with the Chicago Steel. He can be brought up/down for another year to see how he might fit or simply send him to Rockford to further mature and get size. The 2nd is a good piece. Kyle Davidson has made a few comments about getting the guys he wants in the scouting department...hence the TBL 1sts being 2023/2024. And we're rebuilding. Let's take on a contract and maybe less pressure in CHI might help him? I'm not banking on that, but it's possible. At the very least he can be a mentor for our younger goalies like Arvid and Jaxton.
