There is a market for Kerfoot it's not an auto cap dump but it might end up being one like Johansson. The Leafs got something out of Kapanen but not much for Johansson during the same summer.

Thank you! The Nylander for 2nd OA isn't as bad as the MTL ACGM trading bunch of junk for 2nd OA but Devils should just keep the pick and sign/trade for a winger with lower cost like Fiala/Boeser or Johnny/Forsberg

I agree with you that Kerfoot will probably fetch more than Johansson did, what I was trying to say is for him not to assume that Kerfoot is going to Johansson who was a cap casualty just like Kapanen was one guy basically got a first and the other got his potential replacement. Unless the Leafs are getting someone better they don't need to move Kerfoot or Holl. They aren't trying to sign 6 2m players. If they spend 7m in free agency, he might be a cap dump but I'm sure they will have quality offers as long as they don't go over the cap (that's when other teams will try to squeeze them)
