Deals Can Be Made

Description
Leafs have some cap flexibility. They can move out contracts that have one year left like Holl and Kerfoot. They also have their first round pick and a couple of prospects that could be added to a trade to land a big fish.

Dubas has to be bold this summer. Tinkering with the edges is easy. Anyone can go dumpster diving on the fifth day of free agency. It is much harder to make hockey deals on draft day. So far, Dubas's resume hasn't looked good in that department. Hopefully that changes this offseason.

Might not be enough for Miller.

Not going to get that for Muzzin, even if he decides to waive his current NMC.

Why is TOR paying that much for a back up goalie in Stolarz?

Still missing a piece for Miller, Muzzin isn't fetching that, especially from a rebuilding team - way too much for Stolarz. Take Nick out at least

His cap hit is small. He had decent numbers. He's been a name floating around. The Leafs might be interested in him.

People have to keep in mind that Miller is a rental. If it costs more than this package then it's not worth it.

Or they could just have Woll suit up as the backup? He makes less than Stolarz.

Then keep your spare parts and Vancouver will happily use him for the year and try to re-sign him. You're the one trying to acquire said rental.

It's not a low ball offer at all.

If the Canucks were smart they would've traded him before last year's trade deadline. He's not going to fetch the same pieces with one year left on his contract unless there is an extension in place. Canucks should be happy to take back a 1st round pick, mid level prospect and productive roster player.

That's an easy no for Buffalo. They have Dahlin, Samuelsson, Power and Bryson who are all LD, and Dahlin likely moves to the right and pairs with Samuelsson with Power as the 2nd pairing LD. No need for Muzzin and not at that cost.

Uhhhhhh nah bro. This package is barely better than what Rasmus ristolainen got last offseason.

Takeout Robertson, add liljegren and a 2nd

Muzzin isn't a plug. Yes, injuries has hampered his play as of late, but he's a grizzled top 4 defenseman with a stanley cup who plays a physical game. Most teams would give up a late 1st for him.

5.6m x 2 there will be better defensemen on July 1 who will make half of that as UFA
