I really dont think it will. I think people are underestimating how much arizona needs players to go there with everything goin on, and if they can also get a pick out of it, they will take it.

I think you are severely overestimating it they are ~12M below the floor right now with multiple RFA's to sign and many teams will be looking to dump cap this summer. Arizona is not at all worried about making the floor

While PHI for Holl for a 4th sounds about right, it works for both teams and is a good fit/price

I'd have to say Mrazek at 3.8mil (and a NTC) will cost more than a 3rd (approx 70th overall). After the year hes had with 2 more yrs at 3.8mil, thats alot for a unreliable backup, and ARZ would be better off just overpaying somebody in UFA, or hitting the salary floor elsewhere.

Its also about need, ARZ doesn;t need Mrazek as much as TOR needs to move him.

I'm not saying it cost tons, but with the leafs so close to the cap, they really dont want to buy him out (Dubas would look far worse with that buyout penalty, than he does now), but that is a better option than having to add another 3rd. I think a higher midlevel prospect thrown in might do it. Or some kind of package like Mrazek, Sandin's rights and TOR 1st for Crouse kind of thing.

I mean that’s barely a high payup. Borgstrom at the time probably had no more trade value than what Lias Andersson did a year and a bit ago (late 2nd), plus here Florida also got Wallmark as a rental (Carlsson and Stillman were more or less equivalent). Not to mention Mrazek has higher odds of rebound than a Connelly type

Stillman was definitely worth more than Carlson
