Absolutely no interest in installing Jake Muzzin 2.0 even if he would waive his NTC, plus we could re-sign Alex Edler for less than Jake's cap hit, and we would probably get the same results without having to expend assets to re-acquire Muzz. And I don't think that anyone is going to pay a second and a third for him, with that contract and his injury history.

I don't get why so many of these are so easy to give up on Kerfoot for nothing just for "change" but aren't willing to move Nylander for something that could actually help? I like it. I'd rather keep Kerfoot and move Nylander for a better return that keep Nylander and move Kerfoot for a replacement level third liner. Kerfoot had 50 points & killed penalties for 3.5. Nylander had 30 more points for 7.

kerfoot is the leafs' swiss army knife. despite originally thinking bout moving him, i now think that he's pretty untouchable unless there's an astonishing trade offer for him.
