Regardless of how you pares the value, I couldn't imagine Smithtown boy Kyle Palmieri waiving his NTC to go 3,000 miles away from home. As soon as he had control over his destiny, he came back to the tri-state area and stayed here.

Palmieri's is pretty bad, not as bad as OEL's, but still pretty bad. Canucks would probably be glad to retain 1-1.5M in salary to make a trade more appealing
