Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

I believe this is the best way to keep the core of the team together. Losing Dumba hurts but I believe we can replace his play easier than replacing Fiala's game-changing potential. Greenway is always a tease with his size and etc., but he can be replaced. We will need Rossi to take the next step next year, which I am very hopeful that he can do. We also can get MAF for a couple fo years to help bridge between now and Jesper taking over. This trade could go to any team really, but I selected Ottawa because they seem poised to add a couple of younger veterans and have picks and prospects.

Couple quick thoughts:

OTT wont move that 2022 1st, it’s gonna be too high.

Very unlikely Greenway gets moved, as he just signed an extension.

Middleton gets more than that. I’m figuring $3M or so.

He can still force it though, no? And then becomes UFA next year. He’d certainly get a pay raise on the open market, so why would he sign anything other than a 1 year unless it bakes in a UFA raise?

he could just do a 1 year then go to UFA yeah, I think he's looking at either doing that or like a 2-3 year deal in the 2m range though. Just not enough leverage to command over 2m IMO theres next to no NHL track record to merit that

Middleton will get more than that. 1.75-2.25 easily. And if he did for some messed up reason take that little amount of $ he would only do one year.

yeah 925kx2 is out of the question but for a 1 year deal its well within range if minnesota wants to go that direction
