I think Bear gets less than 2.75 because he has had a very up-and-down season. Maybe something like 1x1.75, as a prove-it deal following an injury/COVID riddled season and then more money in 2023-24

The forward lines kinda seem all over the place but the roster and contracts otherwise look good.




I'd wager Trocheck is going to get a Kevin Hayes contract somewhere, and Carolina is not going to pay him that. Kotkaniemi has looked good in his top-6 time (when everyone was out with COVID), and he's still only 21. It's definitely a risk, but it's one that I'm fine with them taking

In the Canes games that I have watched, Trocheck has looked good and the Canes have the cap space.

Trocheck has been very good and they do have the cap space, but I think it's going to be a Dougie Hamilton situation where some other team will give him market value and Carolina won't want to give him a 7x7 with an eye towards the future and re-signing Aho, Tera, Pesce and the like

Let's hope they don't forget about the importance of secondary scoring.
