Edmonton was on Manson's no trade list so he's not going to sign there, And Trocheck will be highly sought out he's getting more than $5,000,000 per. Probably closer to $6,000,000 x 4-5 years to sign Trocheck.

I am wondering if Manson is more willing to sign with Edmonton if Woodcroft & his dad get signed to a multiple yr coaching contract... could be a game changer for him. The Trocheck signing might be a reach, but his numbers are comparable to Nuge's(more games played) and Hyman's(less games played). I think where ever he signs he will get somewhere from $5-6 mill per, but not more than 6. So to say he will get "FAR more than 5" is a bit of an over statement.

Okay i took the far part out, But i think he still gets in the neighborhood of $5,500,000 x 4-5 years or $6,000,000 x 4-5 years. $5,000,000 is basically just a $250,000 raise and that's not enough.

Soucy is a 3rd pairing guy getting paid a lot for that position, that's an overpay. Kassian is overpaid but he's still an NHLer, and he has an easy buyout if it comes to that.

Yamamoto just has too much value to include in this deal.

I wouldn't be opposed to Holland bumping it up to $5.5 and adding 1 more yr.

I think in general Oiler fans over value Yamo. But I was considering adding Keith in this trade as well.

Soucy is basically worth the 2nd. Yamo is the overpay that gets them to take Kassian & Keith. Yes Keith has a NMC, but MAYBE he waives considering he would still be close to home in Seattle.
I dont think $2.7mill is that much of an overpay for a 3rd pairing guy who can play both sides and only has 1 yr remaining. Alot of Oiler fans are going to be screaming for Holland to resign Kulak at $2.5millx4 this offseason to be a 3rd pairing guy.... No thanks to 4 yrs when they have a couple of Dmen in the AHL that are going to be ready for 3rd pairing in another season or 2.

I think in general Yamamoto is undervalued actually. You certainly have done so. The fact that he's tied for 86th in the league in 5v5 goals with Zibanejad, Patrick Kane and Crosby seems to have escaped you. The fact thg that you're treating him as a throw in to take a guy who is slightly overpaid is just crazy.

Duncan Keith is not the only miracle in this.
