A successful offseason

Description
Sign Jake Livingstone after the NCAA playoffs:
Hopefully the BC boy chooses to sign with his home province team, where he'll have ample opportunity to earn a spot on the right side very soon. If he needs a little AHL seasoning with the baby Canucks first that's okay too.

ARZ trade:
Idea from Matt Sekeres (Van sports radio). IF (and only if) the team thinks that Aidan McDonough won't sign with VAN next year, they can use him in a trade to help clear some cap space or maybe return a decent pick in the 2022 draft. I chose cap space.

NJD trade at the draft:
Trade idea from NHLfan10506 (CF). Canucks take Nemec at #4 if he's still on the board; if not then the BPA.

NYR trade:
Could be to any contender for a similar package of futures. If Miller wants an 8 year deal I think he's gone this summer for sure, and VAN could allow potential trade partners to work out the terms of an extension before pulling the trigger on the trade.

UFA signings:
VAN uses some of their freed up cap space to bolster their forward and D depth. Both Nichushkin and Zadorov might be priced off of their current teams, and I like that they're in their prime age years, have size, can play either side, and provide good defensive play.

- Clear up cap space - check.
- Add to quantity and quality of prospect pool - check.
- Make smart UFA signings to help insulate the young players and improve depth - check.

Hero-level offseason achieved for the Rutherford/Allvin group IMO.

The Zona deal works for me if they want more cap dumps after others expired.

The Boeser trade I’m not sold on Zacha. Add a sweetner & I could live with it.

Lundkvist is undersized RHD that hasn’t lit it up anywhere.

Kratsov seems flakey & is still unproven.

The late 1st & 2nd are left over.

All in all underwhelming so there is better out there or just resign Milker if can do 5/6yrs.

Boeser deal is okay but i would also like a sweetner as i am not sold on Zacha either, not getting Schinder from a Miller deal is a failure imho, the coyotes trade makes some sense, don't like the Zadorov signing he has been a liability in his own zone for his whole career and still has his moments on a defensive heavy team in the flames that improve his defensive stats, Rather just play Dermott in the #3 LHD spot he has look good enough so far, paying that much for Nichushkin isn't great either rather use the Zadorov money as well and throw it at Forsberg. For me this ACGM has downgraded the forwards without upgrading the Defense

I didn’t know “great” was a synonym to average because that’s what he’s been so far, “average”. Do you consider our prospect Linus Karlsson as a valuable asset? He’s also setting records in the SHL…

There is no way the Rangers could afford to re-sign Miller so no thanks from the Rangers.

Well he is an offensive d man so I’d say point production is rather important. Want a more fair comparison! Lundkvist isn’t even producing nearly the same amount as our d man prospect Jack Rathbone. Take off your homer glasses, most of your prospects aren’t as good as you think they are

If Miller will sign for 5 or 6 years I’m all for it. I’m just afraid his agent will leverage an 8 year deal out of the Canucks after the season he’s had.
