Équipe: 2022-23 Red Wings de Detroit
Date de création initiale: 27 mars 2022
Publié: 27 mars 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
trades are subject to change with the wings probably giving up a little more. Also, ideally there is a new coach in Detroit by next season with a more progressive way of thinking than blash.

okay but the team I just made has 20 million in cap space

Okay fine that's this year, I'm talking when Barzal, Larkin, Raymond and Seider all come up for huge raises and that's only 1-3 years away.

I'm not talking about this, I'm talking about Yzerman gives both Barzal and Larkin $9,000,000 each then when Seider and Raymond come out of their ELCs Yzerman locks them up to the best money and term. Morititz Seider probably gets $9,500,000 x 8 years if not slightly more Lucas Raymond $8,000,0000 x 8 years minimal that will add significantly to our future cap. just don't see Yzerman doing it yet.

I just feel like the pressure is on since the wings have been rebuilding for a while now and it is time to start competing soon

Dude Hronek is what he is an offensive defensman so yeah he's going to suck on D he's being paid to help our PP which isn't good right now.

I watch these games and all I see is him making bad pinches and getting caught. He is always running around and missing assignments in the d-zone. Not to mention how he can't get a shot to the net to save his life.

Barzal also held out and then signed a bridge deal so it seems he does not really want to be there or at least does not want to be there long term. He is being underutilized by Trotz and I just really want to seem him play to his full potential with better line mates.

Barzal never held out , he wanted to sign a 6 year deal and he was waiting to see if Lou could move more money out before the season started. He couldn’t so he signed a bridge.

Last season Barzal was a top 15 center in the league, he’s on a line with Oliver Wahlstrom right now who compliments Barzal very well. Why do you keep making things up.

Also I don't think he is very effective on the power play either

This i agree with, And Yzerman has said at his TDL presser that there's going to be major changes this year. Trades will happen probably some major UFA signings hopefully we already have 9 UFA this summer and that's a little ridiculous to have that many. Like Larkin said this team needs to start getting it's own identity. Yzerman needs to make up his mind who is here for the long term and short term. If some of these players don't have futures on the team then deal them ASAP.

And now your former top 15 center in the league is second in points on his own team to Brock Nelson. Not ideal

The team is still over 5 years away from seriously competing, So yeah it makes no sense for us to start spending up to the cap if weren't going to be strong competitors. it's all moot because Barzal to Detroit isn't happening.

That's fine, but again not my point.

Paying good players != cap hell

I agree. There has to be a large turnover from this year to next year if we want to see any real changes. So many players on this roster that just have no future with this team and should be dealt

Yeah not ideal that that the isles have two great centers - good one.

They really gave us false hope at the start of the season and it has just gone downhill. Hopefully they keep losing so we can maybe acquire our 1st or 2nd line center of the future through he draft (maybe Savoie, Lambert, trikozov) and then we wouldn't even have to trade for barzal

Yeah those centers must be so great if the team is not even going to make playoffs

Most of the time he seems lost and just makes dumb mistakes. He's one that definitely has no future with Detroit.

There are a few reasons why the isles are going to miss the playoffs this season, their centers aren’t one of them. Nelson is on pace for 44 goals.

You’re getting defensive because the islanders won’t trade their franchise center , unreal 😂

not sure if you missed what I just said to someone else but I said it would be ideal if they could find a center through the draft. like Savoie, Lambert, trikozov

Its ironic you included Hronek in this trade after Barzal made him look like an ECHL defenseman

I’m aware, which is why it makes no sense to include him in a trade for Barzal. If he’s so bad why would the isles want him.

I think a lot of gms aren't very good at identifying talent and may look at hroneks point totals and think he is better than he actually is. Lou comes to mind as one of the gms that would maybe do something like this in my opinion

Lou probably still evaluates players using plus/minus, and Hronek is a -23 this season, plus he wouldn’t pay his 3rd pair D 4.4 mill, Hronek isn’t getting more minutes than Dobson or Pulock

Lou is old so you are probably right about him using plus minus. Also Brock Nelson is shooting a very sustainable 22.8% this season.

Brock Nelson is good at everything and he's alwayshad a pretty high S%, even with regression to the mean next season he's still a lock for 25-30 goals.

What would the return be then. Barzal is not having a great season and does not fit in the system in New York at all

hronek is a completely useless piece for the islanders as 4m third pair defenseman and a soon to be pending UFA. he has no value for them whatsoever. what else do you have? would edvinsson be available?
