So you want to trade two of the guys that can actually play wing on Philly, bump two of their centres out to wing, and then bring in two unnecessary centres? The Flyers are much better off with G and Filp down the middle and Schenn and Simmonds on the Wing. Simmonds and Schenn were Philly's two top goal scorers this year.

That way they also don't give up one of their top offensive prospects and an additionally first. God the more I look at that Duchene/Simmonds trade the worse it is.

Talk about a massive overpay. Simmer > Duchene. Schenn > Barire. Then we are throwing in our future 2C prospect, a 1st, and a 3rd? Hard Pass. Maybe if they are sending back Rantanen I'd consider it but not that package at all. Zero interest in Barrie and none in Duchene as a one year rental before he commands Voracek type money that we can't afford.

This would make Landy the odd man out and they'd have two picks in the top-13 so plent of flexibility to add a guy like Carlson, Vatanen, Dumba, etc. from a team with that extra 1st rounder and still grab Patrick. If I'm Sakic I'm taking that deal and running.

I'm not sure if you watch Flyers' games, but Schenn might be one of the worst players with liability issues on our roster.
