Joke aside, this forum really need to be more friendly. People are savage here.

For some reason that I've never been able to fully understand, people are much more antagonistic when communicating through keyboards than when they are face to face. I have seen even extreme examples of this within circles of friends of mine, where one will say to another (remember, they know each other) : Are you out of your mind? What kind of idiot would say such a thing?" when that is something that they'd never say in person. And it gets only worse with the anonymity afforded by social media, where what I assume are otherwise reasonably sociable people will say things like "if you ever actually watched hockey, and had an IQ measurable in three digits, your opinion might actually be decent." I'm glad that CapFriendly makes an effort to police the worst behavior, and in order to avoid being a hypocrite, I should confess that I have been the subject of warnings on several occasions, most of which I have richly merited. I've calmed down a little, but I can still be pretty acerbic at times, so if you ever feel that I've gone over the line, please feel free to call me on it.
