Why would the Sabres trade one of their best players in Thompson and give you a second Center 4 Alex kerfoot? Sure Casey Mittelstadt needs a change of scenery Maybe but Thompson would probably cost you three first-round picks at this point. Basically he is Buffalo's only Center that's reliable. This trade might have made sense one year ago but not now that he's a 25 goal scorer and a first-line Centre

This won't work. Tage just developed into a 1st line C with term. Hes under valued (in terms of cap) and a huge win for the org when it comes to not having to find a new eichel. I could tell you right now the sabres will not trade cozens or tage because we have no C depth beyond them.
