It doesn't fix any problems for the Pens either. They need a RH defender. Gave up one, plus a top six forward and prospects, to get a defenseman they don't need.

Mr Hibbits and DD. Your comments are correct, though Giordano would help any defence. At least Smitty didn't give a typical Pens trade on Armchair GM, trade both Kunitz and the unloved Scuderi.
