What’s the need for the leafs with boeser? I honestly don’t get it. He’s a nice player, 30 goals, 60, maybe 70 point guy at his best. Probably only have about 50 this year. he’s gonna cost good assets to get, and then really expensive to resign.

Guess you missed the part where i posted what i would like Dermott has mostly played RD for us as we haven't been deep at it but I understand the want. I also don't believe anyone including Rutherford truly know what he wants. He is one pts out of the playoffs and many of the player being talked about have term/control and the type of players you want for a playoff run. The Pacific is very wide open and a they could make hockey trades at this point.

With a healthy lineup Appleton would fill the roll Kerf has been moved into. We cant have 3.5mil on the fourth line. And Appleton has control and would cost less next season.

Kerfoot can and does play all over the lineup and he's producing. Appleton is a limited 4th liner. This is a bad trade.

I like Apples, but that's a massive overpay, and the Jets can probably get two seconds for Copp, so two picks, a solid top 9, and an ok prospect is more than enough.
