Quoting: TheAlien
You're the only one constantly crying about every Marino-Boeser trade. There's literally one made by a Pens fan on the first page.
Think about this logically for a moment.
1) Could the Pens use a top six/middle six upgrade? Sure. Do they desperately need one? No.
2) The Pens are a playoff team
3) The Pens are a top ten defensive team in the NHL and Marino is a major part of that. He's our #2 RHD after Letang and after him it's Chad Ruhwedel and Mark Friedman, so moving Marino now makes Chad Ruhwedel our #2 RHD meaning if Letang goes down, Chad Ruhwedel is now our #1 RHD. Do you see how that could potentially be a problem for a playoff-bound team?
Looking at that logic, regardless of how much scoring someone like Miller or Boeser may bring, do you understand the terrible ripple effect moving Marino would have on our team? How bad our defense instantly becomes?
I don't care if a hundred Pens fans trade Marino on here, that doesn't make it the right thing to do. A little critical thinking goes a very long way.
