Point total is fine but hes pretty average in just about every single metric possible. 0.3 WAR, -0.6 career WAR, and atop the list of luckiest point producers in the league with an xOff of -1.7 and a career -.2. He isnt excellent. he seriously isnt. please tell me what gives him more value than Giordano? Like he has a year and a half left at 4 mil. He isnt any better than many of these other guys on the market like Mayfield and Giordano.


Edit; Mayfield is on less than half of that price and plays big minutes. better career total and this season in literally every single stat on their player pages and the only thing severson has is points. and even then, mayfield has a higher xGF. and these player pages are from evolving hockey

There are different components of GAR.
Offensive, Defensive, and Penalties.
Added together, they equal GAR.
This is the defensive component.
