Description

Columbus need to address lack of quality RHD. Bean can be shipped becaude we already have Werenski, Boqvist and Christiansen as puck moving defenceman. All we need is defensive minded RHD to play penalty kill and with Werenski.

Forward lines are okay. Having hard time to fit all if K.Johnson and Marchenko are knocking the NHL doord next season. Maybe they will dominate AHL for one year and Danforth or Fix-Wolansky is scratched if everyone is healthy.

I would be willing to add a small piece to this offer if needed. I really really like Murphy. (Columbus connection aside) he is exactly what werenski needs as a partner. Peeke has been a bright spot but isn’t ready yet. This next year if we resign laine and Kent is ready. We should be back up in a wild card spot. We should start looking to bolster the backend with middle age/ youngish talent.

I would move nyquist at this deadline for a bigger return. Since whatever team getting him gets him for 2 cup runs. Plus 2 years retained is expensive. The assets that could be gained would outweigh his current level of play.

Heres something to remember as well, You potentially have our draft pick so youll get a good pick, Depending on who you draft, Thats another guy you might be able to throw into the lineup like a Chinakhov or Sillinger. BUT, if the pick is Top 2.. we keep our first rounder and we send you our 2023 1st rounder.
