Pretty sure Kulak can fetch a 4th. Also Vancouver decline that I think.

out on Boeser...I believe his QO will be around 7.5M...and I read somewhere that in VAN there are concerns about his speed and ability to drive play. If that's true- not the player I'd look to add. Would rather pursue a deal like this for McCann.

I think that's enough value for Boeser because his QO is so high. I do think he would add a lot to the NYR roster though. The NYR don't have enough right shot players. They have no top 6 right shot forwards right now.

The thing with the Vancouver trade is Kravstov's value. It depends how you see it. I think Vancouver could potentially get a second pick. If you look at the toffoli trade the value is pretty much the same, but I think Boeser have more value even if Toffoli have 1 more year on his contract. Depends how see it I guess.

Def not enough for Boeser. Kravtsov is worth maybe a late 2nd maybe. So its a late 1st and late 2nd for a guy who has average I think top 15 in goals per game since he entered the league.

I also think he'd be a great fit in NY from a playing style perspective because he is a right show and Panarin is such a great playmaker.

He doesn't really need to drive play though considering you have Panarin and Lafreniere developing as play driving wingers. He would fit will with Panarin for now. Boeser is one of the better finishers in the league.

Fair point regarding his ability to finish (and yeah- NYR are in need here)...but 2 points to consider:
1. The urgency of the Buch trade was "explained" by the need to get guys like Kakko and LaF into the top 6...so a move here (irregardless of what we all know) would be an open admission by Drury that he REALLY blew it on that trade- don't see him doing that.
2. With LaF and Kakko (upon return) in top 6, the NYR real need is an upgrade of the 3rd line...need a C to push Chytl to LW or a winger like Lehkonen. And adding a C (not even in reference to Miller) would not only bolster the 3rd line- but would provide options going forward with the Strome situation uncertain.

Honestly I am a Canucks fan and looking at the Rangers roster I think they just need to have patience. Miller could be a good add to eventually take over for Strome. And his versatility and low cap hit would allow him to play with Strome. But if I were the Rangers targeting Boeser doesn't seem smart. You have so many good young players and prospects. Just let them grow a little and then assess again.

How is it the Kakko and Lafreniere have been so underwhelming? Do you think it is organizational/coaching. Are you seeing any signs they are going to be all star level players?

Could not agree with you more...key thing you mention though is patience....and whether Drury has the ability to keep a terrible owner at bay (who is usually more concerned with the Knicks anyway) while the prospects and young players develop.

As far as LaF and Kakko...LaF does seem to have turned a corner...small sample, but so far he has really clicked and looks real confident playing on top line. Looks like he's there to stay. As far as Kakko, his #'s don't reflect how good he is in possession and along the boards- which creates space for Strome and Panarin...before he went down his game seemed to suffer but I believe he was playing hurt before he went out with a wrist injury- which he wont be back until around the TDL. Overall, I don't love NYR player development...but at #1 and #2 OA, can't blame NYR for keeping these guys in NY...and for all my "complaining" about drafting and player development, they do have about 1/2 dozen prospects who look like they can become real good NHLers...and several more who look like they will become serviceable NHL players once given their chance.
