MTL Accepts
Anyone described as "Han Solo" by Hockey Scouts on Elite Prospects has my Vote
First time i've ever seen the reference made

All jokes aside MTL prefers picks but This is a Jeff Petry type RD who hasnt learned to use his full frame yet but offensively is sound
His speed isnt good enough so positioning will define if he makes it to the NHL barring a skating coach

Dont really need Samsonov but given Price's unknown future taking him as insurance policy is wise

Washington definitely declines the Montreal trade. The only thing Allen improves in dc is the "veteran presence in net" but since WSH already has tons of vets in the locker room its not a problem. WSH also isn't a Lehkonen away from a cup and shouldn't be giving up the better goalie and WSH's only good RSD prospect.

These moves made this team significantly worse. Jarnkrok, Sanford, and Lehkonen are hardly upgrades over what Washington already has.

Oh someone doesn’t watch hockey, easy to spot
Jarnkrok is a big upgrade on Sprong and Lehkonen is a big upgrade on Sheary. Had to dump Hagelin & Sanford fits well on that 4th line

I actually watch at least 3 games a night on ESPN+ as well as the hawks games (Local) and make sure I watch different teams the next day, but thank you for your brilliant assumption.

Sanford is a prototypical 4th liner, one the Capitals already moved on from. They're not a team that often, if ever, brings back former players. There's a reason they moved on from him. You're taking offense out of the bottom 6 for grinders. Grinders the capitals have enough of. The capitals need to get faster if they legitimately want to contend. Adding grit doesn't improve their team.

Come playoffs it seems like a pretty big upgrade
Allen rode back up to two SCF teams winning 1 ring
He's a solid back up who helps keep your starter fresh for the playoffs

Lehkonen was clutch in the playoffs in a 3rd line /PK role
Even scored the GWG to get us to the Finals
He's good for atleast 4 points a post season minimum and had over 3 hits a game last year with 2/3 goals being GWG last year

Sanford im not sold on but Haglin isnt the playoff player he once was with only 1 point each of the last 3 playoffs with WSH
Sanford is a clear upgrade for a playoff roster to when you look at the context of the end goal being a Stanley Cup in the Playoffs

Gotta say i dont believe you
If you did as you say
You'd know the difference between Playoff Players and everyone else

Halin 3 points in 3 playoffs series with WSH but great on paper in the regular season fooling people into thinking he's gonna produce but never does
Sheary since his 3rd year Pro has been horirble in the playoffs with as many points in multiple years as Lehkonen in his worst
Sprong is a 1 pump chump in the playoffs completely innaffective and WSH couldnt trust for more then 3 games

Not to mention all the above are Physical players with Finals Experience
Those being removed are not Physical ontop of choking yearly in the playoffs

Overpay on all of the trades. OTT is the closest one, but I don't think Caps should go for the Sanford and Lehkonen type of players. The MTL trade is really far off...

The trades aren’t fair at the TDL
Teams overpay for quality to go deep

These trades aren't fair by TDL standards either. And as already been pointed out by @NickC1988 , this isn't the type of players that make Capitals any better right now. I could see them trade for players like Copp, Garland, Zacha etc.

Maybe on your playstation but you aren’t getting Garland Zacha without sending at least your 1st RD pick + Alexeyev

As I mentioned before, the Capitals don't need more physical players. They need secondary scoring that comes from speed and skill. I don't really care if you believe me or not, you keep selling your players to teams that don't need em, and I'll keep commenting. MTL makes it to a cup final and suddenly the fanbase knows EXACTLY what defines a 'Playoff player' from 'everyone else'. That's rich.

Danault Lehkonen the big top 4 is what you need on top of your stars players (for MTL it was Price and Suzuki)
Again, to show how badly you don’t know your hockey you are saying WSH don’t need those players when there is rumors and scouts going to MTL and SEA games. Reports are saying WSH are interested in Lehkonen and Jarnkrok, they are on their wishlist. So stop with your none sense and comments on the Price vs Girard Byram Newhook post, you belong with those people

No, WSH doesn't need those players, and they'll be knocked out in the 1st round if they don't get faster. Are you watching the flames-wild game right now? How about Carolina-Detroit? No? Get lost.

I’m fine with the Caps slightly overpaying for players they need. I’d be really happy with Garland for a 1st and prospect and Zacha would come cheaper than that.

Well, it’s still better than spending good assets on players they do not need.

I wonder why you post here if you don't care what people think of the trades you come up with?
