Just wanna make sure you realize you won't have the CAR first. It will be going to ARI as the lower of the 2 MTL has. Which also means you're flipping the possible first overall in this deal.

Zero clue about the Carolina pick magically becoming AZ's pick. + In today's NHL all GM's do protect any 1st round pick they trade away. Just didn't know how to make it a 'protected' pick here.
Anyways, only a high level discussion. But don't you agree MTL and NYR have many ways in which they could help one another?! I mean, maybe they would prefer any of the Paquette (reunited with Goodrow from the 19-20 Champ team), or Perrault, Dvorak, Petry, etc. And then the picks could be different (MTL has 3 third rounds, Rangers none). All am saying is I hope these two teams are chatting. smile

They should trade Caufield, Romanov and their unprotected 1st for Lafrenier and Rangers first.

Your probably right Caroline first round will go to Arizona for Dvorak trade and Montreal have still there first which probably be around top 1 to 5 and the First round of Calgary from Toffoli trade. It's this one they could use to get a big prospect but the 2022 draft seen good and have good player in late first round.

They definitely can, but it'll be a smaller scale, and Lafreniere won't be included. Gally's deal is too much and too long. It'll affect their ability to sign all their young talent over the next couple years, and their not doing that for a 3rd liner. I can see Lehkonen and Chiarot retained at 50% for a first and a prospect that NY feels they can part with
