LA passes on that. Got to send Barzal, Beauvillier, and more back for those two players for sure.

I like it, but I agree thats not enough for those 2 players from LA and I would take muzzin out the deal anyway. also no islanders 2017 4th round draft pick

in my opinion that's way too much for duchene and i also don't think that's enough for Muzzin and Carter.

I think LA would have to get some low ball offers for some of their brutal contracts that they are strapped with to clear space. they may have to take a hit on some of them. Weather its buying out Gaborik, Trading Quick (no one would trade for that contract anymore for a goalie) etc.

Fine, what is your fair value of Duchene from the Islanders if you are such an expert on Duchenes trade value on 30 other teams in this league

That offer is pretty accurate. a Blue chip prospect, a young defensman with a team friendly contract, and a good young winger who scored 20 last year. However, I think that 1st rounder should be knocked down to a 2nd rounder. If duchene had a good year last year or this was deadline time, you could get a 1st but not now, not with the season he had.

As an Islander fan this is not the package I would offer. I would offer

T Hamonic
Dal Colle
Strome
2nd round

I have no issues with that package. Just rangersandislesfan things Duchene is worth next to nothing.....a 2nd round pick and 2 bottom 6 fwds. He thought Matt Martin and some other bottom 6 guy to match his point toal was a fair deal for Duchene.

Coga, just curious. Panarin or Duchene? straight up. This isn't a trick question. I'm a bias hawks fan. You're an AVEs fan. Just curious.

I love Panarin, I think hes such an offensive talent and would love too see him with MacKinnon and Rants on the top line....Based on this year I would have to think the Avs would have to add to Duchene to get him. But if you wanted a straight up trade I would say yes right now. I know Dutch has had a down year but hes still a weapon. I think probably both teams could get exactly what they wanted in either player so it fits.

in his words " its too much to trade for a guy who had 5 points in his last 25 games". that is a moronic assertion. if thats the case, then the -25 travis hamonic should be worth approx a 6th round pick. now on my package. I have a feeling the demand for Duchene will be far less than it was at the Trade deadline. in the end I think strome my not be part of that deal or no pick at all. but we will see.

either way Dickhead Garth needs to bring in a big time player. I hope duchene is it. his term is perfect for us (it gives Barzal time to develop in to the 2nd line center he is capable of being. and fills that much needed role as a quality face off man and point producer. oh wait he only scored 5 points in his last 25 games, nvm he belongs in the ECHL....

Carter's value > Duchene's value

Carter is 32 with a bad contract. there is no telling how many yrs he has left to produce at a high level and any team that trades for him runs the risk of an old expensive asset
