They aren't moving him for scraps, draft picks aren't scraps. Besides, he is having a very underwhelming season

His actual production has been underwhelming. Statistically he's been as good or better than Kyrou. He just can buy a goal.

Yeah, I'll bet that's the case with just about everybody on the Flames, that didn't change the fact that secondary scoring is a position of need for them, and you ultimately need to put the puck in the net for all the fancy stats to count for something

He currently sits 93rd league wide in 5v5 CF% and 91st in xGF%. They addressed the goal scoring depth with Toffoli, you dont take away from it by trading Dube for a quarter of his value
