Not kidding, a scout said : I can tell you there’s a lot of teams that already have a 1st RD pick offered for Ben Chiarot. I think he is overrated, a guy like Lauzon could come cheaper and almost as effective. He said something around these lines

there seems to always be an awful alot of scouts always available for soundbytes when it comes to trades. To be fair, scouts are not part of trade talks, and GMs wont be telling their scouting department what they have offered for a player. So I would really questions the validity of such claims

I know, but Eric Engels (Habs reporter) (oh and he is super bias towards the Habs) said there’s 12 teams interested in Chiarot & MTL won’t have difficulty getting a 1st RD pick. I’m will believe it when I’ll see it, but everything point towards a 1st for Big Ben

I tihnk the interest is there, but how does does that result in actual trade offers...not sure.
I just have came across a lot of sound bytes with Montreal trade values that are being reported and a lot usually have a scout attached as the source. that seems fishy to me. Like the team feeding the insiders to try to drive up the price, which happens all the time. Dreger is the worst when it comes to carry water for a team via insider trading.

I could see a 1st for him happening depending on the team and desperation, but I really dont by it that multuple teams already have their 1st offered. Its too early for teams to burn that trade chip yet, a lot can happen in the next month.
