according to friedman in 32 thoughts, teams are looking for a savard-type of price for their UFA defensemen (chiarot and the like). mayfield is super cheap with another year on his deal and can play in the isles’ top four, why would they move on from him for low value? they don’t have a player to fill in that spot in the pipeline. it’s a matter of what the player is worth to the team that already has them vs. teams that might be trading for him, if you lowball they’re just going to keep him since he has another year.

Taresenko isn't that old and he's a PPG player this year. Konecny and Provorov haven't lived up to expectations, Philly isn't giving as much up as you think

Provorov is their 1D. Whether you like it or not they arent moving him. And they dont need a rental winger, that doesnt make sense. Especially for 2 core pieces. If the blues move tarasenko its gonna be for futures that could be flipped for a LD
