Are you trying to win sooner rather than later? I saw your message of middle 6 for 1sts so I brought a projected middle 6 player in Zach Sanford + Julius Bergman who is a projected top 6 defenseman for one of your 1sts. IF you would rather have Rinat Valiev as the defenseman because he's a LHD, I could do that as well because your right side is stronger than your left IMO because you have a much better 3rd pair asset on the right and your top prospects on the right are very high end. Your left is top heavy and no great prospects to fill in for Garrison when he leaves. I wouldn't care which 1st I would get as they all resemble playoff firsts. The guys I would be trading you were both 2nd round picks, unless you want Valiev who was a 3rd round pick. It looks like your roster is very young, yet almost ready to compete except for your 3rd LW slot. Sanford has the potential to fill that hole a lot better than Klimchuk IMO. Just something to think about for you if you wanna do a "2x good 2nd rounders for 1x late first rounder" type deal. I value my guys as much as one of those 1sts, but a 1st is easier to trade to others for something, so that is why I'm interested in it.

Both of those players are still gambles imo, which is why I'm going to decline.. I'd want players with a more established baseline of production

If you're looking for established boarder line players I could probably offer Abdelkader who's been retained 1M for 2018 Cgy 1st + 2018 cgy 4th. You know what you're getting from him and he works hard. If you wanted to give me 2x 1st's I could retain him again at 50% of whats left so he'd come in around 1.75M for 6 years. That'd be a pretty badass asset to have of a guy that solid locked in for that long of term at that little money. I wouldn't mind doing it because I don't value cap space as much as others. Let me know if you want to do a deal like that with him at really low money so you can hit UFA hard or bring on some guys who are overpaid to make yourself a cup contender.
