Kind of why I thought Koskinen could get dealt there, to also get the Devils to the cap floor as well, and only a slight offset of picks for their troubles...

We are above cap floor. But we are on our 6th goaltender.

Driedger is NOT a good replacement for Koskinen lol. A slightly better contract, but with more term is not good. He's a backup goalie.

Getting rid of all forward depth (and a 3rd) for Haydn Fleury and Driedger's contract is not a smart idea.

I would assume something would need to be sent out to offset the money/cap space Stenlund would be for the Oilers, I legit through Turris in there for Cap Purposes and a late pick sweetener for the other minors player who could be useful for Edmonton.. Plus who knows, if Turris finds even some of his game he had in Ottawa while playing out the rest of the season in Columbus, it ends up helping your C depth, there are worse things that could happen..

I would argue differently, could be a very Smart Idea, now that he's back and healthy, with a sh*t team in front of him now, he has similar numbers to Koskinen and Smith already, put a much better team in front of him, I would say he's not as good as he was in Florida, but he's certainly an upgrade from Smith/Koskinen.. And, due to the fact Edmonton clearly can't lure FA Goalies, he's cost friendly for 2 more years after this, and with Smith aging and Skinner getting ready for a F/T position in the NHL(backup or Starter remains to be seen) Dreidger would be hedging your bets for the short term on a team friendly deal while the others get sorted out... I'm not saying he's my first choice, but I would put him in there before giving up any sort of asset to CBJ for Korpisalo.. For the record I would prefer Varly-if Edmonton is not on his NTC or would waive it to go there.. Also, Hadyn Fleury was kind of just a throw in, I don't see Seattle wanting to give up Soucy or Lauzon, but with the Yamamoto "upside" maybe they do, then Edmonton is laughing...
