I don’t see Hornqvist being dealt so easily — and I don’t see you getting actual value back for him.

FLA has their backs against the wall here if they add Chychrun, and I don’t see a team helping them out for free. He’s a cap dump, 35, and has a $5m+ cap hit — and on top of that, you have to deal with his 8-team NTC. So I don’t see it being easy to move him, especially since you can’t retain salary in this scenario (you could if you didn’t get Chychrun).

My bad, the pick/prospect are being sent to the team taking Hornqvist. I don’t know how much he would cost to dump, I just put prospect/picks in the wrong square

I really don't like it Florida Giving up assets just to obtain 4.6m Chychrun and worse trading the very effective 3.5m Montour. Horniquist can easily list eight team with possible cap run that might him.
But he isn't worth 5.3m X 2 years next summer. And the other 23 teams he could be traded to don't want him or certainly have cap issues also and they would have to trade cap back Florida to make it work.
So Horniquist 5.3m cap isn't full disappearing if at all.

So I'm in the camp where Florida has to keep 5.3m Horniquest and 3.5m Montour, and not acquire 4.6 Chychrun . If it goes the way I suggest, Florida still has to make a trade to reduce cap.

If they can’t move Hornqvist they are in trouble. Maybe just maybe, he accept to move is close and FLO resign him at league minimum in 2023-2024. I know he is getting old but he is a good vet in the room
