Description
Incredibly optimistic but it's very possible. Our assets are valuable and these seconds can turn into either prospect or flip for other players. This is also assuming we are sub-500 at 2022 TDL. I also wouldn't be surprised if we got more for these players, especially if we retain.

Also, Varly is another asset we can flip but it seems unlikely for Lou to do that.

he is hurt lol and his underlying metrics are incredible. his point production isn't there but it doesn't help that he's playing with someone who doesn't fit his play style. Put him with Drai and he will produce. And he's one of the best forwards who could be moved and the oilers will be desperate. It not unrealistic in the slightest.

that should say 2023. Nashville is likely to try to contend before Josi slows down and the younger players will need to get paid. Its a stretch but not unrealistic. he has been good all year tho

At 5mil AAV it is unrealistic. Islanders would have to retain as Oilers are cap-strapped and would be totally unwilling to tie up $5mil for 3 more years for Palmieri. They need to re-sign Bison King and need space to go after a #1 goalie. There is a bigger need to improve B6 and the dcore rather than T6 at this current point.

While I agree that Palmieri is not being put in a position to succeed on the isles, his underlying metrics are not incredible and his shooting has fallen off a cliff. The isles would have to retain if they want to trade him.

RAPM Chart + xWAR are both very very good. His shooting percentage and xG% is bad but he isn't bad.

His xGF/60 AND CF/60 are above average, but he's below average in the 2 most important RAPM metrics ( GF/60 + XGA/60). 1 goal in 25 games is unacceptable, they should have never replaced Eberle with him.
