Devils would be willing to bring Hughes in. 22 years old, future franchise d-man, together with the other 2 Hughes, as well as Vancouver's unwillingness to let him go. Plus, Devils would assume that they make and go deep in the playoffs, so I'm seeing it as a late first rounder.

Franchise d-man is a bit much, in Hughes prime is gonna be a 1 d-man on most teams in the league and is gonna be much better on offence then defense

Poolman is a decent 5th/6th D-man who is on a meh contract at worst, and you calling Hughes a nobody? Especially from the perspective of the Devils? That's what's laughable if anything
