Please, please, please let this happen. The Leafs and "cash" going to Avs....great. If Avs want to trade Holden and Stuart to the Leafs thats OK, if the Avs want to keep them, that's OK too. To "quote" two of the 10 Commandments? Thou shalt not steal and thou shall not covert another teams' draft picks. No picks or Hishon are necessary, let the Avs have them.

With or without Phanuef, the Avs have cap room to sign their RFAs and other moves.

Haha yeah I hear you. I'm hoping he plays well enough this year to gain some value for a trade deadline or draft day deal. In hindsight I wonder if the Leafs now wish they had taken the rumoured Weiss, Smith, Pulkkinen deal. Assuming that rumour is true of course.

Either way, I think the Avs are a candidate. The Leafs would definitely have to take on Holden and Stuart plus retain salary but I think this shows its reasonable from the Avs perspective. What the Leafs get beyond that will depend on what Dion does under Babcock. We'll see what happens.
