Description

swapping 2 bad deals for players who fit needs.
yes Hindsight is 2020 but if we just let Labanc and Kane walk and picked up these two players instead look how much better a situation the sharks are in.
Better depth stronger group with a decent amount of cap space.
these two swapped players gives the sharks the ability to compete and this would be a playoff team.

I am aware neither team would do these trades this is a Hypothetical post where we signed these players in FA rather than signing Kane and Labanc.

I thought he was a UFA. there are other options and some are bad (Neal) but it's more just for reference, we could have also resigned Pavelski and let Kane walk which would have also been a better idea.

This is a Hindsight posting and looking at how 2 player swaps could transform a average to below average team into a playoff contender.
I get neither player would have signed with us and both weren't REAL options for the sharks.

he had some past issues but things were great with the sharks when we resigned him. so I agree fully this is just showing how 2 choices could change a team.

The issue with the whole options thing around Lindholm is Calgary traded for him then signed him as an RFA before he even played a single game for the Flames. Nobody thought he was going to be the player he is now
