I thought that way too but, here is my train of thought:
A) Moore's contract is gone.
B) Tierney is a playmaking - 2 way style center (look at his assists in pasts years), granted his face-off % has slipped but he has the foundation to return to +52% win. When playing on a decent team he thrives, morale down when not on a contender.
C) Del Zotto hits and brings a toughness when needed. Sometime I see the B's just get manhandled, and he brings grit.
D) Most importantly, with the Sens retaining salary (50%) on both, B's cap opens to 3.9m. This allows us to sign FA's Rask and Krecji (when he is done with his little field trip)
d1) Tierney is only a placeholder for Krecji (the HC Olomouc schedule ends 3/8/22 if they do not make the playoffs).
E) Del Zotto allows a trade to a D man (such as Reilly, as B's have too many OD) and keep McA, Forbert, Griz, Carlo, Zboril, Clifton. with Ashan, Wolff, or Vaak on injury call up.

Appreciate your further thoughts.

Del Zotto doesn't really offer the Bruins that much in the line of what they need and what they are doing with the team. Not sure the Debrusk for Thierny is also ideal as I don't know if CT is better than Coyle at the moment for a 2nd line centre spot and the Bruins have a revolving door of 3rd and 4th line centres that may not make sense to add another.
