Your first pair doesn’t even make the team. Neither does krug. Slavin is the obvious number 1 LD. Pesce should make the right side along with Fox and mcavoy. McDonagh has played his way onto this team in my opinion

I think Carlson is on this team no matter what. He could likely wear a letter too. He is currently 4th in D scoring, behind only Fox for Americans, and is almost a point per game. Not saying that points is the best way to judge a Dman, but I think it helps him out a lot in this case. I see him running a PP unit for this team.

I get at this age he's not a top producer... but his numbers are still really good (21 points in 24 games with a plus 6) and he's a top 6 on every team in the NHL and top line on most still! he has always been a playoff beast and always comes up in the clutch. he's a top shelf leader and should be team USA captain this year.
