My position on Strome has softened quite a bit lately. He's going to be a UFA this offseason...UNLESS a team and convince him to sign a team friendly extension...thats the only way

Strome’s play driving analytics are really strong the past 2 seasons, no team taking a chance on him reminds me of the Taylor Hall situation last year.

It's 100% on Hawks management, but it's continuing even under King. So someone else will win when they sign him. Just a shame the Hawks can't get out of their own way when it comes to Strome. I mean...they went 0-9-1 and he was still somehow a healthy scratch. That kinda says it all.

Yeah maybe they don’t like him or something but it’s definitely a strange situation. I’m confident he will be effective even with half decent offensive players on his line. I hope the Leafs claim him if CHI waives him.

I'm not a huge fan of Kapanen, but Kubalik and Strome have been awful this year.

Hawks pass, Kubalik is big piece going forward imo.
