While making this trade this is what I thought to myself...

Matheson > Hamonic (Skill wise)

Desmith > Halak (Desmith is better but hasnt been good this year)

Kapanen + Lagere + 1st + the extra value from Matheson and Desmith for Boeser.

Idk if this makes any sense, but that's what my mind thought when making this trade

Vancouver passes on this one.
The only thing in that package that would be of interest to Vancouver would be the 1st round pick. I think if Boeser is traded it will be for either a young player of equal value or a package of top picks and or prospects.

Desmith and halak are a wash same with hamonic and lagare. It takes a 1st to unload the garbage that is Matheson and his contract so Vancouver is basically trading Boeser for Kapanen…? That’s an easy no
