Looks like a realistic trade to me

It’s unfortunate he didn’t work, I was a big fan of his. But the pandemic shortened season, no real training camp/preseason games really hurt him. He never really got a look, spent a lot of time on the taxi squad, he only averaged like 5-7 min a night. It’s too bad, I would have loved to see a Mikheyev Semyonov Barabanov all Russian line. Happy he is doing well with SJS tho. He is not coming back. Agree the the post above, rather add a more impactful winger, and please never put Kerfoot at 3C. He is way way better as a top 6 LW.

I think trading him was best and hes doing well in San Jose.

Sharks don’t trade him back for free. He’s looked really solid for only a 1 million dollar cap hit. He fits really well as a middle 6 LW for now.

I guess it's totally on me for not being clear enough. This wasn't meant to be a suggested trade ... it was an "I wish we had a do-over on giving him away".

yeah if he’s doing ok w/ guys like Hertl and Balcers he could be really good w/ guys like Tavares and Nylander. Small sample size, though, but we’ll see.

Rather trade him back for free then the normal Leaf offers of Holl, Engvall and Mikehev

he has 13 points because he is playing with Hertl, not because he's some star.

He's not a star but serviceable big body at 1M
