maybe drouin and hoffman too if he were healthy. hed be ahead of dvorak and gallagher.

everyone wants to credit comphers ability to the team instead. same thing happend with landeskog rantanen makar, girard, and bura. thuth is hes been going to the net and working hard. hes earned his points.

again, little to no correlation between winning faceoff and winning games.

its been 10 games and the entire team is playing like ****, the guy is 25, all the top teams have a player above 50% faceoff winning %, gms go for faceoff %, coaches put players in situations to win faceoffs and as much as i enjoy your takes most of the time i Think you are off base here and will take the people in the hockey worlds word and value on Faceoff winning as a part of a successfull team vs yours saying its overrated and doesn't equate to winning games. It doesnt by itself but plays a part to winning games

it's not that hard to check. go sort past seasons and series for faceoff percentage and you find there is good and bad teams all over the place. little to no correlation with winning games.

I'm not crediting his ability to the team i'm saying every player i mentioned have outperformed compher 's production. Compher has yet to exceed 32 points and 16 goals and the reason he doesnt bleed the same goals Dvorak does is because Colorado lets less shots against and has better defense. Their carrere stats in +/- are 17 diffrent

I just don't see an need for him at the cost you speculate as he would fit into 3c most likely behind suzuki and dvorak,

Either strome, kerfoot would be cheaper to acquire. Compher is a lesser version of Dvorak in stats and MY opinion

I think this is a poor take
bad teams win games to. Players made whole careers on being face off specialists they play a part in winning. You have never seen someone win a face off drop it to the point and the power play scores or they clear it and kill a penalty. I think we agree to disagree on this as I won't change your mind and you cant change mine on this

He plays on the PP and got 4 goals tied him first with Josi and Ekblad … lol

Point of contention. Chiarot being green-lighted offensively is an experiment. It would be interesting if he continues to produce, but your strengths don't suddenly change at 30. He's not the guy you want on the PP or pinching in offensively.
He does have value to a contending team, just not in that role.
