Pretty much this. Covid and Quinn really messed up his development. I think with a change of scenery he becomes a key part of a contender in the future

His draft slot only matters to the team that originally drafted him. I mean I could switch the 1st to the islanders 2nd, but then I don’t think New York goes for it

I'm the harshest person here on Hayton and I'd never even call him a bust naturally still just 21 with promise, looks like he'll be a solid NHLer

But it's looking like that's his best case scenario

Kaapo already looks like a good NHLer it's really weird the results aren't catching up with him though his Corsi numbers so far are really impressive

If you’re referring to me, I didn’t mention Hayton specifically for the reason of him not being a center piece of the deal. Kaako is definitely not living up to expectations right now, he obviously can improve but it’s definitely a huge risk to spend so much for him when he hasn’t proven anything…
