Someone needs to go and it shouldn't be Vesalainen, two more years of Wheeler is gonna be painful.

I’ve got some concerns about his health. He’s been very banged up over the past few years. He’s played injured recently which I think has done some permanent damage to his game. Even he admitted that it was a mistake to play through injuries. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up on LTIR. That wouldn’t be the worst thing, but sucks to see him regress the way he has.

If Copp stays consistent throughout the year, I’d be more than fine with giving him that deal.

IMO DeMelo will be the one to be traded. He hasn’t been amazing this year, hasn’t been awful either but too expensive for a bottom pairing dman. Might as well just put Heinola there or dare I say it, bring Booloo back at league minimum.

Was absolutely ridiculous of Maurice to put Wheeler at 2C in 19-20 after the Buff fiasco and exodus on the backend, that team was clearly going nowhere with that defense but instead of giving Roslovic his shot at center when Little went down Maurice decides nah, let's put 33 year old Blake there, that probably took a year off of Wheeler's career/effectiveness, that was the height of Maurice trolling the fanbase!
Should've been practicing load management with Wheeler for years now imo but between Maurice being incapable of getting the most out of his lineup(unproductive bottom 6=overworked 26+55) and Wheeler's ego hasn't helped in leading to this broken down version of #26 that we're seeing now.
Really wish Maurice would make a 3rd line with Wheeler on it and someone other then Lowry at center, maybe Wheeler could still stay somewhat productive there with some softer match ups and if he could help get some production going on that line that'd be HUGE for this team.

I'm still waiting for Copp to come crashing back to earth but it hasn't happened yet, I'll need to see another 15-20 games of this kind of production from him for me to start to consider becoming a believer in him.. haha

I hope you're right, I'm not a DeMelo fan and I agree, he hasn't been amazing but not awful either, just don't see him as anything more then an overpaid 3rd pair dman, if there's a guy that could go to save cap space it could be him and he wouldn't really be missed from the lineup imo, I'd rather see Lowry go but I know that isn't happening.. 👎..😂
